I loved to play around little dices in my cooking, you will see!

I was admired by the other blogger’s photos, they’re such so pretty! I haven’t got any idea how to take a photo to let the dice stand out of the dish at first, I only played around and around. Thanks for the modern technique and gadget  : the digital camera, that’s I shouldn’t worry about any mistake I took. And after a while, I got the idea at the end, here it is now!

Stir fry was a quick and easy method of cooking, it can keep the good nutrition from all the ingredients, don’t need to explain any more , cause lots of the house chef knew it already.


Today, I just want to talk about the hot miso sauce, miso was  a thick paste made from fermented soybeans and barley or rice malt; used in Japanese cooking to make soups or sauces. But I think not only the Japanese cooking but also the South-East Asia area, and not even the people in western countries knew it was a good nutrition paste and it getting popular in our cooking.

  •   200g Firm tofu 
  •   1/2 Courgette
  •   1/2 Large aubergine
  •   1 medium size Sweet potato
  •   1/3 cup of fresh Coriander or Parsley, finely chopped
  •   1 tbsp Light olive oil
  •   1 tbsp of Light miso paste
  •   1 tbsp of Hot chilli paste/sauce
  •   1 tsp of Sugar
  •   1 tsp of Sesame oil
  •   Sea salt


  • Cut the tofu, courgette, aubergine and sweet potato into little cube/ dice size. Set aside.
  • Prepare the hot miso sauce first, put the miso paste, hot chilli paste, sugar and sesame oil in a bowl, add 1 to 2 tbsp water to mix altogether, it will look like a thin sauce, so adjust the water by yourself ( depends on how much sauce you want ).
  • Put a little bit of oil in a frying pan over medium heat, fry the cubed tofu first until all the sides get golden, set in a plate. Then use the same pan, fry the  sweet potatoes, aubergines and courgettes until cooked, but I prefer fry them individually( separate ).
  • Put all the fried vegetables back into the frying pan and pour the hot miso sauce and quick stir it until all well incorporated, seasoning, off heat. Put onto a serving plate, garnish with few coriander or parsley.

  • This is a simple stir fry dish, can use different vegetables combination, is totally up to you. But it just the special sauce, if you can’t have hot and spicy, skip it, only use the miso, it still be fine. 
  • The miso and hot chilli sauce are both salty, so be cautious the salt quantity, too salty will bad for your blood pressure.
