Vegan Strawberry Ice cream with Chocolate Sauce

I think nobody will reject ice cream in summer, do you? But I like ice cream all year round. Yes, include Winter! I am addicted to ice cream all the time.

But most of my ice cream ingredients made from scratch. Whenever I got a bargain of all the fruits, I will freeze some of them in the freezer to stand by all my demands. Whenever I fancy ice cream, I just blend all the prepared frozen fruits together.  Maybe sprinkle some fruits or chopped nuts on top, if I have.

Turning a wilderness into a worth-planting plot seems never ending task for our newcomer.  Being through all the digging, weeding and rotating hard works that’s we started from March. We have been gone through all the backache and muscle aching  already.

When we saw the germination process of seeds, it is such amazing time for us. Until some of our crops can harvest now. We still think it is impossible for us, but true! We’re so please to enjoy our first harvest of strawberries, raspberries, and some gooseberries from our neighbours.  Thanks!

Today, I will make my all-time favourite dessert: Ice cream! 🙂

Yup! Strawberry Ice cream. It is sugar-free, no heavy cream, eggless. And it is Vegan of course. Only need 3 ingredients and a food processor. Simple task!

First of all, wash the fresh picked strawberries and slice the bananas. Put them on a baking tray and keep in the freezer for few hours or overnight until all frozen hard.

And the chocolate sauce even as easier just mixes all together. Adjust with a little bit of hot nut milk or water if it is too solid.

The next day, whenever you want the ice-cream. Just put those three ingredients into a food processor, whisk until smooth. Scoop out on an ice-cream cone or a bowl. The topping is even so simple, just pour the chocolate sauce on top and sprinkle some chopped nuts or berries if you have.

Vegan Strawberry Ice cream with Chocolate Sauce


  • 1 cup Frozen Strawberries
  • 3 Frozen Sliced Bananas
  • 2 tbsp Nut milk of choice

Chocolate sauce: 

  • 1 tbsp softened Vegan butter or Coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp Maple syrup


  • Strawberries and roasted nuts of choice  (optional)



  1. To make advance: Slice the bananas and half the strawberries, put in the freezer for few hours or overnight until frozen.
  2. Put all the frozen bananas and strawberries with the nut milk into a food processor or powerful blender: Vitamix if you have. Blend until all smooth. Set aside.
  3. Mix with all the chocolate sauce ingredients together. Adjust with some warm nut milk or water if too solid.
  4. Scoop few balls of ice-cream on a serving bowl. Pour the chocolate sauce on top. Sprinkle with roasted chopped nuts and strawberry. Then enjoy! 🙂

  1. That is a positively dreamy Sundae! I never would have thought it was banana-based by those luscious photos. I’ll have to try out your method for a healthier alternative to the usual ice cream options.
