Spicy Avocado Hummus

To make guacamole is ripe avocados and salt. A little lime or lemon juice to balance the richness of the avocado. Then add chopped coriander, chillies, garlic if you want. To making perfect and creamy guacamole is using good, ripe avocados.

Avocado Hummus will bring to another level of guacamole. But still, unfussy to prepare. The main ingredient of Hummus must have chickpeas and tahini. Avocado is extra in this recipe, give the hummus creamier and smoother. Red pepper flakes and a dash or two tabasco give this hummus a kick in your mouth. Don’t be scared, it won’t blow the fire!

Spicy Avocado Hummus


  • 1 can Chickpeas, drained, rinsed
  • 4 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Lime juice
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Tahini
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled     (I haven’t used)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pink Sea salt
  • Pinch Ground cumin
  • Pinch Red pepper flakes
  • Freshly grind Black pepper
  • 2 medium ripe avocados, cored and peeled, chopped
  • Handful chopped Coriander leaves
  • Dash of tabasco



  1. In the bowl of a food processor, add the chickpeas, olive oil, lime juice, tahini, garlic (if you use), salt, pepper, cumin and red pepper flakes, processor until smooth, about 2 minutes. Add the avocados, coriander leaves and pulse the mixture until desired texture.
  2. Topped with a drizzle of olive oil and red pepper flakes, and a dash of tabasco  if desired.

Note:  Can dip with tortilla chips or for sandwiches, wrap’s filling. Even fill in the popular taco shell as well.
