I think I make smoothie quite often, particularly is my green smoothie. Since I can get lots of fresh vegetables and fruits. Smoothie is my first priority to think of. A salad is my second choice.

Sometimes, I will have smoothie only to sub for my regular meal. Or, only salad for my dinner. Of course not every day.

Warm, Sunny spell ,  Crystal clear blue sky with a bit of Breeze, what else I can describe this weekend’s weather? Such a wonderful day that we missed a lot!

Welcome back, SUMMER! We love you!

We set up a barbecue in our back yard with lots of food, drink, salad, even dessert at the end as well.

My family have their non-veggi food as usual, but I prepared a lots of food for vegetarian.  Today, I only post part of them, because I was exhausted of all the cleaning after the BBQ, but it’s so worth it! We have lots of fun!

We went to have a walk around the hill that close to us today. Lots of mature conker trees out there, I think they’re quite old, because the tree trunk could tell you. In the old days, we could see lot of horses or small ponies, munching the fresh grass over the field. Usually we picked some grass and feed them, those horses are  so timid and shy, but when they’re get used to us, they’re so calm and started to munch the grass that we picked. We had lot of good time there. But after I started to work, we haven’t been to the hill anymore, even it is closed to us.

Lemon Cheesecake Milkshake

Lemon Cheesecake Milkshake

Lemon Cheesecake Milkshake

It’s such a lovely days in England since last week, I made the frozen yogurt already few days ago. And now I made up another cold drink as well, just because the nice weather. After finished the gardening (hard work) – mowed the lawn and planted some vegetables outside in the vegetable patch that my hubby made it for me. And this cold milkshake just came in the good time for me to have a rest and relax.

Simple ingredients, simple steps and plus a simple person (me! hahaha)! Because I always kept a jar of Lemon curd in my fridge, that’s came in handy for me all the time. So, if you haven’t got any lemon curd at the time, use other berries (fresh or frozen) will do the same job. But remember to change the title.

If you want to make more for your family, can double it up of the recipe. If you think the milkshake will be too thick, add a bit more milk, is all up to you, have fun!

Mango Lassi ( Refreshing drink )

Luckily, I found mango was on sale, so I bought few of them and make something nice and fresh. I love to put mango into my dessert recipe, but this time I try to make Mango  Lassi, because I just made some fresh yogurt!

Why did it call  Lassi, there are many ways to make it, but mainly it is made by blending yogurt with water, some people like to put Indian spices, fruits or cream…….

But I just like it simple!

Mango Lassi

Ingredient:                 ( serve: 1)

  1. Mango  (choose the ripen one)               1 (cut it into small cubes)
  2. Natural yogurt                                          225g ( I used my home-made yogurt )
  3. Honey                                                      2 tsp
  4. Lemon juice                                             1 tsp
  5. Ice cube                                                   few ( optional, I haven’t put in )

Method:

  • Put all the ingredients into the blender, blend it until smooth and fluffy.
  • Serve it.

Note:

  • You can put some spicy in, like pinch of cardamom.
  • Or you can sweeten very slightly to taste with caster sugar or more honey.
  • I like it thick and creamy, but if you like it thinner, add some milk or water to blend it.
