This is one of the chutney that I like and on my to-do-list already. Once if I can get a bargain of the fruits, I will make lots of them and store in an airtight jar for later or for a gift. If you follow me for a bit of time, you know that I always like to make my own food gift for people.

This chutney is a sweet, tart and is gorgeously spiced. It has a bit tangy but not too sweet, it also can increase your appetite. Full of fruity aroma with some spicy kick. This chutney uses both crystallized and ground ginger since I prefer.

Today’s weather was  so good, 24°C to 26°C~ warm and sunny! I think it is the summer that we longed for. Yay, it comes at last!

But the news said the weather in America will reach to 113°F/ 45°C, such too hot, I wish everyone stay in the shade and try not  to expose under the sun for too long, in case it will get sunstroke!

So, for this reason, we need some iced cold drink or dessert to treat ourselves. And now MANGO is the most seasonal fruits on the market, and the price is cheaper overall the year.

Mango Lassi ( Refreshing drink )

Luckily, I found mango was on sale, so I bought few of them and make something nice and fresh. I love to put mango into my dessert recipe, but this time I try to make Mango  Lassi, because I just made some fresh yogurt!

Why did it call  Lassi, there are many ways to make it, but mainly it is made by blending yogurt with water, some people like to put Indian spices, fruits or cream…….

But I just like it simple!

Mango Lassi

Ingredient:                 ( serve: 1)

  1. Mango  (choose the ripen one)               1 (cut it into small cubes)
  2. Natural yogurt                                          225g ( I used my home-made yogurt )
  3. Honey                                                      2 tsp
  4. Lemon juice                                             1 tsp
  5. Ice cube                                                   few ( optional, I haven’t put in )

Method:

  • Put all the ingredients into the blender, blend it until smooth and fluffy.
  • Serve it.

Note: 

  • You can put some spicy in, like pinch of cardamom.
  • Or you can sweeten very slightly to taste with caster sugar or more honey.
  • I like it thick and creamy, but if you like it thinner, add some milk or water to blend it.
